Wedding Bar Tips

Posted on 11. May, 2016 by in Bartender Party Tips, Drinks

It is almost wedding season which means we have some tips for you! We want to make sure your bar runs smoothly!

Tip #1:

Choose a venue that will allow you to bring in your own alcohol. This will save you big money with no minimums to meet!

Tip #2:

Serve one or two signature drinks or just your favorite liquor with mixers.

*This will help you save a lot of money & also control what your guests are consuming all night*

Tip #3:

Host cocktail hour & have a cash bar the rest of the night.

*All the guests will be happy to drink on you for awhile but your checkbook will be happy since you only paid for a hour*

Tip #4:

Hire a professional bartending service!

*Make sure your bartending service is professional and experienced to make sure guests are not over drinking & everyone is being well taken care of*

Cheers!

Mulled Wine for the Holiday

Posted on 08. Dec, 2009 by in Drinks

nocoupons

This is a great warming drink for the holidays. Use a cheaper bottle of wine as the flavor is going to be enhanced by all the aromatics added in this recipe. Be careful not to simmer to hot or all the alcohol will boil off and you will be left with a non-alcoholic wine cider.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 (750-ml) bottle red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 3 star anise
  • 4 oranges, peeled, for garnish

Directions

Combine the cider, wine, honey, cinnamon sticks, zest, juice, cloves and star anise in a large saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Pour into mugs, add an orange peel to each and serve.

Ultimate Cosmopolitan

Posted on 26. Oct, 2009 by in Drinks

You can get a lot differnt cosmos out their, this is my favorite!

20z Citron Vodka

3/4oz Grand Mariner

3/4oz Cranberry Juice

2 Lime Wedges

Pour all ingredients and lime wedges into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. There should be tiny ice crystals in the drink when its poured, you want to be able to “skate on it”. This drink is supposed to highlight the citrus and spirits. All to often bartenders ruin good cosmos with to much cranberry. A cosmo should be light pink, if it looks like a glass of cranberry, send it back. Most cosmos will use triplesec or cointreau but I like the depth of flavor and complexity that Grand Mariner adds.
